Mami's Story...
Hi friends. My name is Mami and I am the sweetest girl in the world. My story is so very sad, I was used for breeding in a home with 30 chihuahuas (you might have heard of us we were on the news!) I was the surrogate mommy for all of the babies that were orphaned or unwanted and I went into foster care with a little baby boy who is now all grown up and I am ready to start my life and end my years of constant puppy making.
I am such a sweet girl, I am quiet and loving and I do really well with other doggies, kitties and I love people. I can be a bit shy, more with men at first, but once I warm up I am all lovin'
I am about 7 years old and 11 lbs.
I am fixed, vaccinated and microchipped and ready to start my life in a loving home!!
I am living in foster care so if you would like to meet me please contact the pixie project at
info@pixieproject.org
my adoption fee is $180

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mami, a Portland Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Portland, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
