Sable's Story...

ADOPTION PENDING!

Meet this attractive girl named Sable. Sable is a female German Shepherd mix who is approximately 2 years old. She was picked up wandering as a stray with no identification. She stayed at the shelter for several weeks but was not reclaimed. Sable is now living in our foster home and she has two foster siblings with whom she gets along nicely with. Sable appears to be housebroken and is learning the new routine here pretty quickly. While Sable is full grown, she is on the smaller side for a German Shepherd weighing just 57 pounds. She appears to be at a healthy weight for her size. As a shepherd, Sable exhibits the typical level of activity of a dog her age but because of her changing environment, Sable is a little bit on the timid side. Given the chance to settle in to a home of her own and to feel secure, Sable will certainly become a wonderful family pet.

If you would like to have the opportunity to meet this beautiful girl, please feel free to contact us at turner9115@sbcglobal.net or by calling 913-334-8907. Sable is anxious to meet you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sable, a Overland Park German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
