Zoey - FOSTER NEEDED's Story...
Hello, my name is Zoey. I am about 1 year of age and about 50 pounds. I am a very sweet girl. My owners decided they didn't have time for a dog so they took me to the shelter. I came to the shelter filled with fleas but the shelter took care of that for me. I'm no longer itchy and my beautiful hair is growin back and I'll soon be dazzling all the boys!

I am a great girl and I love everyone. I am a lab girl and have the personality of a lab - typical all around great natured dog!

If you don't want to adopt me, maybe you'd consider fostering me? You see, the shelter that I'm at works with rescue groups that come and take dog and cats out of the shelter when they have room. These shelters like to save dogs/cats that are running out of time, are sick or old too. One of these groups is a group called Faithful Friends Animal Rescue. They would love to add me to their rescue group but all their foster homes are full, so I have to wait to be rescued until they have some room.

If you think you'd like to foster me, please contact Krystal at or Denise at Faithful Friends pays for all the food and vet care for foster animals. The foster parents just have to open their hearts and homes to a needy animal like me. I promise you won't be sorry! Please come and give me a chance! If you are interested in giving me a forever home please contact the Gladwin County Animal Shelter at 989-426-4579. If the office is closed please leave a message and someone will call you back the next business day. Thank you for looking and thinking adoption first!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zoey - FOSTER NEEDED, a Rochester Hills Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Rochester Hills, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Rochester Hills.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester Hills already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester Hills breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester Hills paves the way for another one to be saved.
