Butch's Story...
Butch is a 2 year-old orange and white cat who needs a lot of love. He was a stray who wandered into someone’s backyard. When he went to the vet for neutering, he was discovered to be FIV positive. It doesn’t slow him down at all. He loves to play and rub up against your legs. He also has a very healthy appetite, and he will follow you around like a little puppy. The vet says he should have a normal life span as long as he is kept indoors. Butch should be an only kitty, or a buddy for another FIV positive cat. If you’d like to met Butch, call Norma at (630) 897-8738, or visit our website to download an application. Butch deserves a chance at a happy life!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Butch, a Montgomery Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Montgomery, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Montgomery.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Montgomery already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Montgomery breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Montgomery paves the way for another one to be saved.
