Vinny's Story...
Arrival story: Vinny was picked up as a stray, but the AC Officer knew who owned him. The officer called the owners and told them he was at the shelter. Vinny's owners pretended Vinny wasn’t their dog! We know his family deliberately abandoned Vinny.

Approximate age / weight: 1 year old and 31 lbs.

Personality: Looking for a settled, all around good dog? Look no further! Vinny comes to us housebroken, calm, good on a leash, in the car, as well as kid and dog friendly. He seems perfectly content to take his cues from the resident dogs in his foster home. He enjoys playing with soft toys, chewing on them yet not destructive. He does enjoy chewing on the children's toys if they are left out - Vinny will encourage kids to pick up after themselves! Vinny really lights up when around other young, playful dogs. We can't forget to mention he loves to cuddle - a good quality to have on cold winter nights.

In his foster home, Vinny is living with 2 younger children (2 and 4 yrs old) and he does well - enjoys their attention, being pet, gives kisses and does not seem to mind the sounds and energy children add to a house.

Although Vinny is being crated at night and when home alone, his foster mom feels he would probably do just as well un-crated.

It doesn't get much better than Vinny!!

Forever home: Vinny will make a great family dog. He gets along great with other dogs and children. Vinny will likely need training in order to learn to leave cats alone. He will chase the wild rabbits and squirrels that pass through the yard; not a surprise since he is part beagle, but due to this behavior Vinny will he will need a home with a physical fence. Finally, a playful doggie pal would make Vinny's picture of the ideal home complete.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Vinny, a Northville Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Beagle for sale in Northville, or seeking a Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Beagle dog from a breeder in Northville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Northville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Northville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Beagle breeders who help with Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Northville paves the way for another one to be saved.
