Henry's Story...
Henry | M | Fully Vetted | Young | Plott Hound
A little about Henry - he's a hound and they have a real nose for exploration. His family adores him, but their living situation is not conducive to the lifestyle needs of Henry. If you're "nuthin' but a hound dog" lover, you are going to love Henry!

He currently lives with a family with 5 children and is wonderful with them. His coat is very short and shiny, low maintenance and little shedding. He has come a long way from starving in the hills of Tennessee to being rescued, fostered, then adopted. He learned to receive love and affection from our family and soon turned into a people dog instead of a "dog dog" only. Learned a few simple commands and could learn much more. Plays fetch some and loves to be walked. Would sleep on all of your furniture if he had HIS way!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Henry, a Marietta Plott Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Plott Hound for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Plott Hound dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Plott Hound breeders who help with Plott Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
