Dachshund Dog for adoption in Toronto/Etobicoke/GTA, Ontario - Pixie

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Pixie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Pixie's Story...
Pixie - female, spayed, vaccinated to date inclu. Rabies, dewormed, tx flea preventative, heartworm tested (-), ~5yr, ~12lbs, Standard Dachshund.

Pixie is bigger then a Mini but we don’t think she is quite the size of a Standard. Pixie is good with cats, dogs and respectful children over 6yrs (at this time, due to her size and limited background we do not want to place her in a home with small kids). Pixie is a quiet and sweet natured little girl. She likes to find a nice bed to stretch out on or follow you around. She is clean, quiet and well mannered in the home. Pixie is house trained and crate trained but does not use a crate – she is fine when left alone and given free roam. The great thing about Pixie is she still has lots of spunk but is passed the mischievous puppy stage. Pixie likes a daily walk and lots of cuddles. Pixie is suitable for an apartment or house with a fenced yard. If you are not familiar with the breed please research before you apply - http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/dachshund.htm .

If you are interested in adopting a pet please submit a 4 Legged Love Adoption Application. An application must be submitted before an appointment can be made to meet/adopt a pet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pixie, a Toronto/Etobicoke/GTA Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Toronto/Etobicoke/GTA, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Toronto/Etobicoke/GTA.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toronto/Etobicoke/GTA already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toronto/Etobicoke/GTA breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toronto/Etobicoke/GTA paves the way for another one to be saved.
