My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

January 26
Belle continues to amaze us and I wonder why no one can see past her age. Over the last weekend we got to introduce Belle to a 17 month old baby. Belle was so great with this little one. She took toys ever so gently from the baby, has proven to be rock solid with all the dogs she has come in contact with and has not had any inconvenient issues in awhile.
We have decided to take Belle swimming to help develop the muscles in her back legs. WCRR has booked 8 weekly appointments for this girl and we are sure that she will do well at them.
Belle would be a great dog for a first time dog owner. She is easy going, gentle and loving. While she isn’t a puppy, she still has years left to her. If you are looking for that special dog to share your home and your life with, please look at Belle.

Everyone has fallen in love with Belle. She can often be found lying in the sun with one of the resident dogs she lives with. Even they are liking her and they don't always like the foster dogs. She has lost some weight and not only looks 100% better but is feeling much better. She is a dream to walk, takes treats so very gently and knows to wait patiently while her bowl of food is ready. She really would make the perfect companion. Please help us find her a home where she will be loved and cherished for her entire life

Here is the lovely Ms. Belle. Once again we have a mature girl that no one wanted or had the time for. She was adopted from a local shelter several months ago, but the family decided that she wasn’t what they were looking for and the shelter wouldn’t take her back.
Belle is between 6 – 7 years old She is one of those wonderful dogs that is good with everything and everyone. There isn’t a person Belle has met that she doesn’t think should be her best friend and ignores dogs that don’t like her but loves the company of those that welcome her into their home. She walks very well on her harness and is interested in everything around her but listens very well.
There are a couple of medical things going on with Belle. Her back knees can be weak so gentle exercise is what she wants. She is currently on supplements and a low calorie food. Hopefully once she loses some weight she will be happier. Because Belle is an older girl, she needs a few more bathroom breaks than other dogs. She would best be suited to a family where there is someone home at least part of the day. Belle hasn’t been tested with cats but she seems to ignore them on walks. And we don’t think that she would be suitable for a family with very small children. Not because she wouldn’t enjoy their company, only because she is a big girl and doesn’t seem to know her own strength.
Belle MUST go to an indoor home. One where she will be welcomed to be part of the family. One where she will be loved and cherished for the rest of her life. If you think that yours is the home she is waiting for, please send a request for an adoption application to wcrr.info@gmail.com
ps. Belle's pictures do not do her justice. She hates having her picture taken LOL
