D'Artagnan's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, and good with cats.

D'Artagnan's Story...
Meet the Four Musketeers kittens! When their foster mom lets them all out of their kitten playpen at the same time, they engage in some serious "swashbuckling" play, pouncing and bouncing all over the room, and each other! They were born in April 2005, and will be ready to go to their new homes on the next transports. We encourage pair kitten adoptions, so they always have a playmate! Age appropriate shots and alteration are included in the adoption donation (minimum $40; more gratefully accepted!) Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! If you find the pet of your dreams, Forget-Me-Not will find a way to connect you! There may be a small transport fee, usually ranging from $10 - $40, for delivery outside our immediate area. Check www.forgetmenotshelter.org for more photos of this pet, and to find out about our next scheduled transports to Seattle, Spokane and other points.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

D'Artagnan, a Republic Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Republic, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Republic.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Republic already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Republic breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Republic paves the way for another one to be saved.
