Copper and Delaney's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Copper and Delaney's Story...
Check out this darling duo! Copper is a 12 year-old Shih-Tzu/Pekinese mix, who has lived his entire life with Delaney, an 11 year-old female Shih-Tzu/Poodle mix, (although they both may have some Lhasa Apso in them). They both weigh about 25-30 pounds. These two are real sweethearts. The owner needs to place them up for adoption as she has moved back to her home and her parents are very allergic to the dogs. They are good with other dogs, but they want to be the boss. They have had no cat experience, and it would be best if they were in a home without small children. They are accostomed to being groomed and they love to go for walks. They are both housebroken and very trustworthy in the house alone. They are extremely bonded to each other as they have spent their entire lives together, and they have insisted that they go to the same home! (We absolutely agree).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Copper and Delaney, a Wilmington Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu breeders who help with Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
