Buttercup's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, declawed, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Buttercup's Story...
Buttercup is a handsome cream Persian (may have some Flame Point Himalayan) who was abandoned at the city shelter when his former owners "moved."
Buttercup is declawed on all fours (not a nice thing to do to a kitty), between five and seven years old, docile, sensitive, neutered and healthy. Good around other animals. Sweet cat, though he takes a little time to get used to a new envrionment and new people. One gets a sense Buttercup was pretty upset about getting dumped (betrayed). Needs a loving, committed home. If interested in Buttercup, please call us rather than email (212) 427-8273.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buttercup, a New York Persian cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Persian for sale in New York, or seeking a Persian cat from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Persian breeders who help with Persian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
