Sarah's Story...
Hi, I'm Sarah! I'm a little new to the rescue so my foster mom is still getting to know me. But, she does know that I do wonderful with other animals and all people. I am a little shy at first. I get kind of scared when things are completely hectic so I would probably prefer a home without small kids running around. I am about 6 years old and I would love to find a new home soon!! My previous owner gave me up because I didn't like the new puppy she bought. I didn't want a puppy biting me in the face all the time. I am good with other dogs just didn't like the new little puppy!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sarah, a Grant Park Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Grant Park, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Grant Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grant Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grant Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grant Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
