Bear's Story...
I am Bear, and I come from Knoxville, TN. My story, like so many, is a frightful reality. Here it is, Thanksgiving Eve. The shelter staff, busy getting ready to leave for the Holiday. The shelter is overfilled. Some dogs, including me, were not going to see Thanksgiving. Though the shelter staff loved me, there was no room to stay at the shelter. As the shelter doors were getting ready to lock, my rescuer came to get me. No minutes to spare, my life was saved. I was safely taken to boarding where I will stay until I can go to my foster home. I AM SAFE !!!!

Meet Bear. He is a 1 1/2 year old male, Bicolor GSD mix. Bear is a big boy, but a teddy bear at heart. The kennel manager is in love with him and says he is a great boy. He already knows some basic commands. He will be arriving soon. Bear will be looking for his forever Soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bear, a Rochester/Buffalo German Shepherd Dog/Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Rottweiler for sale in Rochester/Buffalo, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Rochester/Buffalo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester/Buffalo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester/Buffalo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Rottweiler breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester/Buffalo paves the way for another one to be saved.
