Houdini's Info...

I am purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Houdini's Story...
Houdini is an owner surrender. Health of owner is forcing her to place some of her quality cresteds in rescue in the hopes of placing them in loving, forever homes. This has been a heartbreaking decision but his current owner feels that she can no longer care for Houdini as he needs and wants to find a family who can devote quality one on one time to him. He is an 18 month old male, current on all shots, in excellent health. Houdini has been very loved and very well taken care of so he should have no problems transitioning into a new home. He is good with other dogs but has not been around young children or cats, however, he should do fine with both. Very loving - a real "velcro dog" in need of attentive and affectionate home. Crate trained and very clean, looking for a forever home. PS - He is a true hairless( a definite plus for anyone with allergies!!This breed is hypo-allergenic) and a real "hip" dude in his shirts and jackets!! Houdini will be neutered prior to going home. His adoption fee is $300 to assist us with the cost of his vetting and care. Please fill out our adoption application and e-mail the application and your interest or contact Barbara of Paws and Claws at 352 490-5744.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Houdini, a Chiefland Chinese Crested dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chinese Crested for sale in Chiefland, or seeking a Chinese Crested dog from a breeder in Chiefland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chiefland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chiefland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chinese Crested breeders who help with Chinese Crested rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chiefland paves the way for another one to be saved.
