Maggie's Story...
Maggie is energetic, beautiful, well-trianed, well-behaved, and very friendly, six-year-old, 70-pound, female Weimaraner looking for a new loving home. Maggie is housebroken, loves car rides, gives kisses, and knows the commands sit and down. Maggie was used as a breeding dog and after being a devoted mom to many pups, her human disposed of her at a shelter. Luckily Young at Heart Rescue stepped in to her rescue. She is now spayed, and professionally trained. Maggie is an active girl who loves going for walks and spending time bounding out in the yard. Inside the home, she’s happy to be a couch potato – happy to snooze away the day surrounded by dog-friendly cats. She really prefers people and cats to other dogs, so she’s looking for a home without other dogs. Although she appears to be fine with other dogs on walks, and meet and greets – just doesn’t want to share a home with another dog. Maggie is healthy, spayed, up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccines, micro-chipped and heartworm-tested. To meet and possibly adopt her, please fill out an adoption application at http://www.yahpetrescue.com/adopt/dogs/
And, to ask questions or follow up on your application, please e-mail info@yahpetrescue.com or call 847-529-2025. Her adoption fee of $165 benefits the rescued pets of Young at Heart.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie, a Chicago Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Weimaraner dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner breeders who help with Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
