McKenzie's Story...
McKenzie is a one year old female Bull Terrier mix. She was found running southbound in the northbound lanes of I75/I85 in downtown Atlanta on Thanksgiving day. She had somehow managed to cross 5 lanes of traffic only to find herself trapped against the concrete barrier in the emergency lane next to the HOV lane.

One of our volunteers and two caring gentlemen pulled over to rescue her. She was so frightened, she tried to run away from her rescuers, but her rescuers wouldn't give up and the gentlemen managed to catch her. She had been hit by a car and was bleeding from her nose, mouth and from wounds on the left side of her head.

Fortunately her wounds were not has severe as they first appeared to be and she is recovering well. She's a real sweatheart and has stolen the hearts of everyone at the shelter. You'll love her too!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

McKenzie, a McDonough Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bull Terrier for sale in McDonough, or seeking a Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in McDonough.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McDonough already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McDonough breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bull Terrier breeders who help with Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McDonough paves the way for another one to be saved.
