Huey's Story...
Huey is a 2 year old Bluetick/English Coonhound that loves life!! He is perfect with all people, including children, and other pets too. He just loves attention and loves to play. He would make an excellent family dog.

Huey is coming into our foster program because his current foster family just lost their mother to an illness and the 16 year old daughter has had to take on the household responsibilities and has no time to take care of him between school, taking care of her younger siblings, and running the household. This is a very sad story and Huey is quite attached to his family so we feel so badly for everyone involved.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Huey, a Frankfort Bluetick Coonhound/Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bluetick Coonhound/Coonhound for sale in Frankfort, or seeking a Bluetick Coonhound/Coonhound dog from a breeder in Frankfort.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Frankfort already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Frankfort breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bluetick Coonhound/Coonhound breeders who help with Bluetick Coonhound/Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Frankfort paves the way for another one to be saved.
