Shelby & Ace's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and not good with dogs.

Shelby & Ace's Story...
Ace and Shelby are a pair of magnificent bonded purebred son and mother German Shepherds. Ace is three-years-old and Shelby is five-years-old. When their human died they were brought to the shelter. They love to go on walks and are crate and house-trained. They would do best in a home as the only pets with adults and teenagers. To meet and possibly any of them, please contact WCHS volunteer Kathy at mmsimon7@aol.com or 815-671-3230, or the Will County Humane Society at 815-741-0695. You can visit these dogs and the many cats of WCHS at 24109 W Seil Road in Shorewood, Illinois, from noon to 4:30 pm Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shelby & Ace, a Chicago German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Chicago, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
