Dixie's Story...
Dixie came in as a stray. She was taken to the vet and treated because her paws were really raw and bleeding, we guess from running. She is a sweet, mellow girl. She was been hit because when you raise your hand she will jerk but she doesn't run away. She is so wonderful to have around, she has a great temperament. She came in so thin but she's gaining everyday. She does great with other animals, even little pups. She has been bred, you can tell and so she will be spayed soon. She would be the perfect layed back house dog. She is house broken and does very well on a lead. Come out and visit this sweet girl today! www.yanceyanimals.petfinder.com or call 828-682-9510.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie, a Burnsville Treeing Walker Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Treeing Walker Coonhound for sale in Burnsville, or seeking a Treeing Walker Coonhound dog from a breeder in Burnsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Burnsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Burnsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Treeing Walker Coonhound breeders who help with Treeing Walker Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Burnsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
