for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Misty's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Misty's Story...
Meet Misty! She's a spayed female, black and tan German shepherd mix who is about 9 years old. She is currently in a shelter and she is very sad and depressed about it. Misty has a sweet, quiet, yet charming character. In a home environment, she is naturally playful, curious and very loyal. Misty likes to go for walks and to lounge in her doggie bed by her person's side. She is a sweet and loving girl looking for a loving home. Misty is used to having free reign in a house to roam and nap where she pleases. She is housetrained, enjoys car rides and loves everyone she meets. Give her the home of her dreams. Adoption fee: $75.

Adoption Process:
Send an email to info@pawsforliferescue.org to tell us which pet you're interested in and we'll send you a questionnaire that will help us make the best match for you and your new pet. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the two-week trial run with the pet as part of your family. This is a trial period to give your dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the trial time and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Misty, a Troy German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Troy, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Troy.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Troy already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Troy breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Troy paves the way for another one to be saved.
