Drake's Story...
Drake is a gorgeous Pittie mix. He is a male that is approximately 1 year old. He was found as a stray and taken to a high-kill AC facility where he was to be euthanized. Thankfully rescue stepped in to save his life and give him the chance to find his loving forever family. He is medium sized and weighs about 50-55 pounds. He has the cutest black and pink nose and and an adorable Doberman mask around his eyes...super cute! He has a very submissive personality and is very nice and friendly with people. This poor boy does have a recent scab on his neck that appears to have been from an embedded collar....this is now healing well since being in rescue. He does well with other dogs and even was good with small dogs that he has met.

He is now neutered, fully UTD on his vaccines and HW negative. His adoption donation is $200. For more information on making Drake a part of your family, please contact Melia at melia88@comcast.net or 708-224-1900. Drake is currently being fostered in Chicago, IL.

Drake, a Chicago Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue.
