Hollie's Story...
Hollie is a 3 month old female that looks to be a Lab/Pit Bull mix. She was found as a stray about a mile north of Austin. Hollie is a very friendly, sweet little pup who just loves to cuddle. She shows no aggressive tendencies in any way and in fact is a little on the submissive side. She enjoys attention from humans every chance she can get. She is still a baby though, and we are working on housetraining issues with her. Hollie will be spayed on 12/28/09 and is current with all vaccinations. She weighs about 15 pounds right now, but she has a lot of growing to do yet and we think she’ll wind up being about 50 – 60 pounds when fully grown. Hollie will not be adopted as an outdoor dog, or as a guard dog. Her adoption fee is $95. We utilize a short adoption application form to assess compatibility between dogs and their prospective homes. This form is a simple one-sided Microsoft Word document and it can be e-mailed to you upon request. If you would like to receive the form via e-mail, or if you have any other questions, please send us an e-mail message.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hollie, a Austin Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever for sale in Austin, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
