Sallie is a sweet spayed female hound mix who is looking for a new family to call her own. Like many hounds, she was born to be a hunting dog, but her previous owners thought she was too sweet and kept her as their pet. They thought they were getting too old to take care of Sallie, so that's how I came to HSEC.

Sallie is a somewhat petitie gal - standing about knee height. She is an adult dog, so she will not get any bigger - just the perfect size - not too big, not too small.

Sallie is a bit shy, so she need sa little bit of time to warm up to you. But - once she's warmed up - she's a friend for life. Hounds are all around good natured dogs who get along with everyone - dogs and people alike. They are so much more than just a companion for hunting. Hounds are smart and resilient and make great family pets.
