My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, my name is Punkin. Someone brought me to a clinic and the nice doctor there called my shelter mom and asked if they would be able to take me in to help me find my forever best friend.

I admit, I was a bit of a challenge at first, but now I'm a really laid back kind of guy. The people here really know how to teach us that life is so much better when we have people to care about us.

It just took a while for me to realize how great people can be and that they really do love me. I love them back now and would love to meet you too. I'm sure we'd be the best of friends in no time!

Punkin is a wonderful cat. Once we were able to win his confidence, he's turned out to be really special. The best feeling is to just bury your face in his thick, soft coat. He has the thickest and softest coat - it's like a wonderful security blanket you can just get lost in.

Punkin is 14 months old, and when he came to us he was a bit older than we get most of our kittens. It's been a bit of a challenge getting him to trust us, but a bit of canned food and lots of patience worked wonders! You'd have to be a little bit patient with Punkin and give him time to get to know you. Once he does, you'll find him to be just a great guy.

At Altered Feral State, we work with feral cat colonies. All of our kittens were removed from the colonies and completely socialized when they are less than 8 weeks old. We don't offer them for adoption until they have been tested, vaccinated and spayed or neutered.

Our adoption fee of $75 only covers a very small portion of our costs, but to us, it's all about finding the best home for these wonderful kitties.

If you are interested in providing a home for Punkin, please go to our website, download our adoption application and email it to us at afsga@att.net.
