Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Alice's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, not good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Alice's Story...
Alice raced at 59 pounds. She is two-years old, is loads of fun, and is currently getting some obedience training by her handlers. She has a lot of puppy energy, but manages to sit still while her handlers polish her toenails. She is not small dog or cat safe. Due to her energy level, she might do better in a home without small children. Alice is microchipped, and if she is lost, any vet can scan the chip and help her return home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alice, a Lexington Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Lexington, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Lexington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lexington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lexington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lexington paves the way for another one to be saved.
