My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi – my name is Cora! I’ve had a bit of an interesting life – and I’m 9 years young! It's been kind of a wild ride in my short 9 years, but I'm very loving and a rather easy going gal.

I lost my home recently since my Mom lost her job and her home. I'm a little unsure of strangers, but I really like people and love being petted and getting attention - I just need a little time to get to know a new person.

I'm okay with other dogs, but I really don't have much interest in them or cats. I was with Grady for 6 years, so I tolerate his activity and behaviours just fine. I like to be able to look out a window before and after a good nap.

I would prefer a relatively calm, quiet home – I’ve never been around a lot of young kids – and at this age, I just don’t need/want ALL that activity around me.

I love to go on car rides and walks - I do pull a little bit on leash, but that's just 'cause I'm excited to be out and about! I don't need a lot of long walks - I'm pretty easy going on the exercise requirement.

At my vet checkup and it was discovered I have a heart-murmur. Doesn’t bother me at all; I run around and enjoy being loved upon and hanging out with my family.

I am of course, housebroken, leash trained, know some basic obedience commands, and am crate trained. I really don’t need a crate, but I go in willing and like hanging out in there when the foster puppies that I reside with are in "active mode". I’m just under 50lbs, a perfect size for hugging, loving and going on walks!

I've been spayed, am heartworm negative, up to date with vaccinations, and am on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
