Clyde's Story...
BANG! POP! CLANG! No, that's not me ,Clyde and my sister Bonnie robbing a bank--it's just us playing with our toys in our metal cage at the Radford City Shelter. See, though we're named after notorious criminals, we don't have a mean bone in our bodies. We just play and run and purr and entertain all who meet us! With our velvety black coats and BIG curious yellow eyes, we could sure be movie stars--maybe Hollywood will cast us in the remake of the Bonnie and Clyde movie--whaddya think?! While that life would be fun, we think it would be even better to come live with you in a nice warm house and run and play with you. Do you think you can help us with that? We would love to move into a home together, but if you can only provide a great home to one of us, we're okay with that too. Please submit an application at www.radfordpoundpals.org or write our Pound Pals friends at pals@psknet.com. We just can't wait to hear from you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Clyde, a Radford Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Radford, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Radford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Radford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Radford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Radford paves the way for another one to be saved.
