Nemo's Story...
My name is NEMO, like the fish! I am the most fun dog you will ever find. I came to this shelter cause my people did not have enough time for me. That is ok cause I know that the right person or family is looking and they are going to find me soon. I would love to find an active person or family cause I love the water, like to play ball and love other dogs. I could play for hours! Don't get me wrong, I am well behaved for my age. I am very smart but still need some training . I am crate trained and housebroken. I am great with kids but I am a big guy so sometimes I scare the little ones but I would not hurt anybody. I love to go for hikes, play ball and just hang out with my people. I am 10 months old, neutered and have all my shots. I weigh about 60 lbs and my adoption fee is $200.00 and includes adoption supplies.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nemo, a Portland Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
