Kantey's Story...
My name is Kantey! This special name was chosen for me because I came from the Catawba County shelter and the rescue wanted to give me and my sister Jinney names that reflect this beautiful area of North Carolina. I’m a happy red girl who is learning quickly from my foster family that humans are a great source of love, treats and a comfy couch for cuddling. I love attention and am working on my doggy manners so I can show you what a good girl I can be. I have an expressive face and you can see me thinking through any problem. I have a lot of energy that I put to good use playing with my Jolly Ball, my Jake’s Tug or with my doggy friends. At the end of the day I like to lay in front of the fireplace until it’s time to curl up in my crate and rest for the next day’s adventures. I am both house and crate-trained.

Kantey will be one year old in February. She is spayed, current on shots, microchipped and weighs about 30 pounds. She does have a cropped tail. Kantey is currently being fostered in Hayesville, NC.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kantey, a Siler City Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Siler City, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Siler City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Siler City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Siler City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Siler City paves the way for another one to be saved.
