Alf's Story...
Alf is a dog from another planet! Oh wait, that's the character from the tv show. But what a resemblance! We've always felt Alf needed to be in show business. He is a very interesting looking dog - brindle, short and long, with fur that sticks out from his ears. No one else has a guy like this! Alf loves to roam around the yard, rolling in the grass on his back. He's very curious and wants to check everything out. He loves to play with his toys and lick your hand for kisses. He's a very outgoing guy, who is looking both for love and someone to play with...... are you looking for the same?

About New Leash On Life Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

New Leash On Life is a non-profit animal rescue corporation. It was created to significantly reduce the devastating number of animals abandoned and euthanized in Los Angeles. We hold mobile pet adoptions twice a month and offer both free and low-cost seminars and school programs to help educate the public about responsible pet ownership.

We've recently developed our Lend a Paw program, rescuing dogs from the shelter and training them as assistance and therapy dogs for people and children in need. In addition to our Lend a Paw training program, we have now implemented a training program for all of our rescues. Each dog rescued from the shelter will go through an obedience training course prior to being placed for adoption. Some special dogs may be chosen for Lend a Paw, while others will be adopted to loving families. By training each dog, the adoptive family has a better chance of developing a better bond and a permanent relationship.
