Fiona's Story...
Fiona is a wonderful 30 lb pug mix. She LOVES people, is very affectionate, social and outgoing. Fiona is crate trained and house trained.
While Fiona does get along with calm dogs, she really could take or leave them. I think she would be very happy if she didn't have to share her human.
Fiona is very responsive UNLESS she is outside and on the scent of a little creature; i.e mole, mouse, chipmunk. If she is tracking something, her hearing goes and she is on a mission, no matter where it may lead. Because of that, Fiona needs a securely fenced yard OR to be leashed walked all the time.
Fiona is currently in a foster home in Maine. If you would like to know more about Fiona, please contact us at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fiona, a Albany Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug for sale in Albany, or seeking a Pug dog from a breeder in Albany.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Albany already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Albany breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug breeders who help with Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Albany paves the way for another one to be saved.
