Bella really loves her name. Why, you might ask? Because it reminds everyone of what she enjoys best -belly rubs!! One volunteer observed, "She loves to elicit belly rubs!!! She will walk around and just lay down and roll over exposing her belly for you to rub." Bella's foster mom found this to be a true statement. Once in foster care, Bella's foster mom learned that if she called Bella, she'd run right over to her, stop, drop, and roll over onto her back as an invitation to lavish her with tummy rubs! Bella also likes being carried around like a baby; of course carrying her around like a baby leaves her tummy wide open for what else? Belly rubs! Coincidence? I think not! Bella is a snuggly little girl and enjoys spending time with her people. One of her favorite sleeping spots is on the bed where she has been overheard purring even after she has fallen fast asleep!
After some good ole' TLC, Bella goes off in search of fun and adventure. Bird watching at the window is a perfect way to start the day! Another fun option is watching the fish swim back and forth in the aquarium - she finds this very entertaining! Bella climbs up and down the smallest and tallest of kitty condos, searching for just the right cubbyhole to curl up in. She chases balls to keep in shape and will let you know that you are welcome to participate in her game by carrying the ball over to you and dropping it in your lap! Bella also finds Beanie Babies irresistible. Her foster mom wondered how her daughter's Beanie Babies were getting downstairs until she witnessed Bella carrying one in her mouth! According to her foster mom, "She then throws it down the stairs meowing at it like it ran away from her! At the bottom it gets a good throwing around and when she is satisfied it is dead she is off to her next adventure!" Beanie Babies are one among several items Bella enjoys throwing down the stairs according to her foster mom!
Bella gets along great with other friendly cats. While she was living at RESCUE's feline care center, she was roommates with 2 other RESCUE kitties. Bella loved grooming, wrestling, and sometimes simply snuggling with her kitty pals. Once Bella moved into foster care, she adjusted easily to her foster family's resident kitties and resident dog. She now enjoys their company as well. Although it is not a requirement, we'd love to see Bella adopted into a home where she'll have another feline friend or two.
Bella is an all around great cat - she's a perfect mix of sweet, cuddly, and playful! Bella's mellow nature makes her ideal for almost any loving family (as long as belly rubs are included!). Please consider being enriched by her companionship - you won't regret it!
