My name is Pappa!

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Pappa's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Pappa's Story...
This sweet boy was picked up by two kids in a SW neighborhood but then their parents did not want him and irresponsibly let him loose again so he fortunately, ended up in one of our Foster’s front yard. Owners were sought but nobody claimed him.

He is a black lab/great Dane mix, approx 3 1/2 years old and weighs around 80lbs He walks well on a leash, has a sweet temperament and likes older kids! He has already been neutered, is microchipped, has been dewormed, vaccinated and is on heartworm and flea preventative.

All his vet records will be provided. There is an adoption application to fill out and an adoption fee is $150 and covers all his vet expenses until he goes to a permanent home.

If you would like to know more about him, please email at or call at (713)294-8020

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pappa, a Houston Labrador Retriever/Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Great Dane for sale in Houston, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Great Dane dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Great Dane breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
