Libby's Story...
Hi -- my name is LIBBY. I am a little girl who is a bit frightened by being in this big shelter with all these loud noises, but once you coax me out of my cage, I am content to sit on your lap and be pet forever. I am about 5 months old, spayed and up to date on vaccines. ***I am in a foster home for a little bit so i can relax and know what it is to be a normal kitten, not alone in a cage. If you want to meet me, please call or email. Won't you come and visit me at the Clifton Animal Shelter M-F 6.30-8pm or Sundays 12 noon - 4 pm? Hope to see you soon!

Act quickly to adopt Libby. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Libby, a Clifton Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Clifton, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Clifton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Clifton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Clifton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Clifton paves the way for another one to be saved.
