Hot Shot's Story...
Hi, my name is Hotshot. I was born on 2/27/08. I am half Pekingese and half Yorkshire Terrier. I have been raised by a grandma who has really spoiled me. So I need a good mom or dad who can teach me discipline. I love children, but need to be the only dog in the house. I am very sweet and ride well in the car. I am paper trained but not completely house trained. If you would like to apply to adopt this pet please visit www.powellPAWS.org to review our adoption requirements and submit an application. Submitting an application does not guarantee or hold a dog, or commit you to the adoption process. All PAWS dogs are in foster homes and can be seen by appointment. We reserve the right to deny an application for any reason without explanation.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hot Shot, a Powell Pekingese/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Powell, or seeking a Pekingese/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Powell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Powell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Powell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Pekingese/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Powell paves the way for another one to be saved.
