My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello World!

My name is Pogo -- and my foster Mom says I’m an amazingly sweet, gentle and happy bichon boy of ‘about eight’ who approaches everyone with love. Mom says there is no doubt that I’m the kindest, calmest and most lovable bichon she has ever known – and that I am gentle, smart and very appreciative, too. (You see I have already worked my charm on her – and I wasn’t even trying very hard!)

Before I came to Mom’s house, I was lonely and scared! My hair was a tangled mess, with stickers scratching my skin and I was very, very thin. I had not been well cared for but Bichon FurKids could see the sweetness in my soul – and knew that I deserved a chance. To make matters worse, when I came to the shelter I was with my bichon brother. Someone adopted him but left me behind so I was even more scared and afraid at first. But that was then… and

Now my hair is soft, shiny and white and I’m clean, safe and warm. And I have furkid brothers and sisters around me. It feels so wonderful to be safe and warm – and to have other little ones like me. That makes me feel better and better!

Dad says to tell you that I’m very calm and want to please. He says I am housebroken (that is not a typo), am learning commands every day and that I’m VERY smart, as well as kind! Dad says I’m a natural when it comes to going for walks or rides. I just LOVE to take walks and to ride in the car (because it means I’m going to good places with my family!)

Mom wants me to tell you that I’m thankful to have nutritious food to eat and that I’m starting to fill out. She says I love the squeak of a ball and am learning about toys. I look at them and wag my tail. (Mom says I’m a bit silly and that one day I will probably put that toy in my mouth like my brothers and sisters! In the meantime I just wag my tail, happy that I have a toy!) Oh and I like my biscuits and bones too!

Best of all I love to snuggle in bed or on the couch, anywhere I can be close to my special person. I also like to sleep close to one of my doggy brothers, as I love to be close to them too!

What I really need now is a forever family (with another furkid or two please!) who is looking for a great little guy who is loving, cuddly, fun, smart and cute. Oh and with big brown eyes that smile and look deeply into your soul.

So If you are ready for a great little guy who wants to be all yours, then please ask for me – I’m Pogo!

Bichon waves and wags,

Patient, Loving and Kind Pogo
