Mills's Story...
Mills is an 6 year old neutered black/tan male, current on all vaccines (all medical records will be provided), heart worm negative, around 110lbs and located in Charlotte, NC. He has been with his current family since he was a young puppy. Unfortunately due to recent life changing family circumstances, it would be best for Mills to join a family who can spend ample time with him and provide the structure a Bloodhound needs. Mills is sensitive, sweet, independent and a lovable guy. He currently lives with two other dogs and they all get along well and enjoy each other’s companionship. Mills does demonstrate food aggression. Due to this, his current family believes that he should live with a family without children and with someone who can provide him a structured environment for his feeding; he needs to dine alone. Mills is used to being an indoor/outdoor dog. He spends a lot of his day outside and sleeps inside at night. He is housetrained and can be trusted not to chew or destroy the home. This has been a devastating and very long and well thought out decision to come to for this family and if the right home comes along for Mills, they feel it to be the best thing for him! Transport or meeting part way can be arranged to an approved home. Contact: Hunter Horne (hunter.horne1@gmail.com) or Molly Nye (Mns4@aol.com) and fill out our online puppy application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mills, a Carrollton Bloodhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bloodhound for sale in Carrollton, or seeking a Bloodhound dog from a breeder in Carrollton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carrollton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carrollton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bloodhound breeders who help with Bloodhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carrollton paves the way for another one to be saved.
