Mittens was born June 17, 2009 but this little guy will not always be so little. He is growing like a weed! Mittens has a big personality to match what we think might turn into a large adult size. As with many tuxedo cats, Mittens is very easygoing and adaptable.
Mittens is very friendly with both people and cats. He has grown up with plenty of other cats around and is definitely looking for a home with at least one playmate. He can play a little hard (he is still a kitten after all) and will likely do best with someone who plays hard as well or who can teach him to play kindly with others. He likes having other cats around and often invites them to play, but he doesn’t seem to mind when other cats let him know they’re not in the mood for play. He just moves on to the next entertainment!
This handsome boy is quite the charmer. When his energy level ebbs, he loves a cozy lap to curl up in for some rest and recuperation. We’re guessing that as he moves into adulthood, he’s going to be quite affectionate and may turn into a great lap cat and cuddlebug.
Mittens is one fun-loving guy who has never met a potential playmate he didn’t like. This includes people he knows, strangers, and cats. Although he has not been dog-tested, we suspect that, given his playful and easygoing nature, he would do well with dogs.
Mittens, like all ARCF cats for adoption, has been neutered, microchipped, is up to date on vaccines, and has tested negative for FeLV and FIV.
If you are interested in meeting Mittens, please fill out the

Animal Rescue & Care Fund, Inc. is a small rescue organization. We rescue homeless animals only, and do not accept owner-surrendered pets. All our animals live with volunteers in their homes until they are matched with the right permanent family. Thank you for considering one of our pets for adoption.
