Smoke is a strikingly handsome gent who looks like he's at least part Russian Blue. He's 8 years old, in great health, a real "people kitty" and a wonderful pet. Due to a family move, his loving owner is sadly seeking a new home for Smoke. Here's how she describes this great kitty:

"Wherever you are, Smoke will come find you and want to spend time with you. He loves sitting in a windowsill and looking outside. He always likes to be close to people, so at night he will try to sleep practically on your face. But with a little encouragement, he is content to sleep at your side, on the foot of your bed, or curled up in a rug or chair nearby.

Smoke has a broken tail that is sensitive to the touch. It was broken while he was a baby at the animal shelter. Even though he doesn't like if you touch the broken part of his tail, he always loves being petted. He is a smart cat and even likes watching TV!"

Smoke is neutered and up to date on all his shots. He would much prefer to be the only kitty in the household, though he has lived with other cats in the past.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Smoke, a Quincy Russian Blue cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Russian Blue for sale in Quincy, or seeking a Russian Blue cat from a breeder in Quincy.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Quincy already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Quincy breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Russian Blue breeders who help with Russian Blue rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Quincy paves the way for another one to be saved.
