Sunny in Portland's Story...
This scrumptious boy’s full name is Sunny Delight, which is a perfect name for his warm coloring and lovely personality! Sunny is shy with strangers, but once he gets to know you, he is a very active cat who jumps and plays like a kitten. He will amaze you with his flying leaps and in-air twists! Sunny is a large purebred Ragdoll boy who is almost 4 years old. He belongs to the hard-to-find Solid line of Ragdolls, which is why he has green eyes instead of the more familiar Ragdoll blue. Sunny adores other cats, but greatly fears dogs and children, so his perfect adopter would be someone who lives in an adults-only home (cat-savvy teens okay) and has at least one other kitty to play with. Sunny is very sad that he lost his previous owner due to cancer, and he hopes to find a special person to love him again very soon. Now for the “fine print”…Sunny’s adoption fee is $150. Indoor-only home is required. Declawing is prohibited by our adoption contract. We do NOT ship cats. If you are interested in adoption, please fill out our preliminary screening application here: or call Sunny’s foster mom Lottie at 503-777-8621 for more information. We do not have any paid staff and all of our cats are housed in private homes with volunteer foster parents, so thank you in advance for being patient & kind with our volunteers!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sunny in Portland, a Keizer Ragdoll cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Ragdoll for sale in Keizer, or seeking a Ragdoll cat from a breeder in Keizer.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Keizer already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Keizer breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Ragdoll breeders who help with Ragdoll rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Keizer paves the way for another one to be saved.
