My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello everybody!

My name is Pixie, and I am a tiny little girl of about 7 lbs, and maybe a year old. My ‘aunties’ at BFK think I'm a mix of Bichon and something else that’s pretty small. And just like my name, I am a little, sparkling, mischievous creature who will make you smile.

I am having a wonderful time with my foster family. I love all the people – from the adults to the kids. I guess you could say I'm a social diva. And it’s not just people that I like, either. One of my favorite things in the whole world is to play with the other bichons in the house. Mom says I come up to them with a happy look, and pull on them until they chase me - then I run like the wind! It's so much fun.

Even though I'm full of energy, I know how to behave like the very good girl that I am! Mom taught me how to go out the doggie door when I need to. And when we take a trip in the car, I ride quietly in my crate, not making a single peep. At bedtime, I go in my crate too, like a good girl. (Even though secretly, I would looooove to sleep on the big bed. Maybe someday….)

If you ask me what my favorite toy is, guess what I will say? It’s you! I love to play with my people, or just hang out with them. I have a nice little bone to chew on, and sometimes I like to chew on a sock, if one is around, but my heart belongs to people. I love to be picked up in your arms, and will stand on my tippy-toes so that you don't have to reach too far! And at the end of the day, or whenever I'm tired, I just crawl up on Mom's lap, curl up in a ball and go to sleep.

So if you think you have room in your house (and your heart) for a teeny little ball of fluff who loves to play and cuddle, just ask for me, I’m Pixie!

Love,

Precious Pixie
