My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adhemar is the sweetest Red Tabby Maine Coon boy, about 1 year old. He was rescued by a good Samaritan from Houston who found him in her yard and knew he was worth rescuing. We now have this great boy here and ready to go home. He has the most gorgeous red coat with the loveliest gold eyes.

Adoption fee is $150.

Who We Are:

We are a private rescue and privately funded. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, BUT A RESCUE. A rescue is a PRIVATE HOME and not a public place to visit. Adopters must make appointments prior to visiting foster homes. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, wormed, de-fleaed, and vaccinated prior to adoption.



Adoption Process:

We require all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to visit with the cat(s). We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. If you email us, we will provide you with an application - either by email or by mail.


Out of state adoption:

Merlin's Hope does NOT do out-of-state adoptions other than states contiguous to Texas (LA, Oklahoma, NM). All transportation MUST be provided by the adopter.
