My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LAP CAT!!!! Thatcher is absolutely the most affectionate, friendliest, sweetest cat at this rescue. He loves to spend time with you (preferably cuddling in front of the tv), escorting you to and fro all rooms, and helping you fix his supper.

Thatcher is a lovely Seal Bi-Color Ragdoll. We were told by the breeder that he is a purebred though his coat is shorter than normal. It is very plush and awesome. He is about 3 years old and has brown blocks on his nose.

His adoption fee is $150.

Who We Are:

We are a private rescue and privately funded. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, BUT A RESCUE. A rescue is a PRIVATE HOME and not a public place to visit. Adopters must make appointments prior to visiting foster homes. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, wormed, de-fleaed, and vaccinated prior to adoption.



Adoption Process:

We require all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to visit with the cat(s). We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. If you email us, we will provide you with an application - either by email or by mail.


Out of state adoption:

Merlin's Hope does NOT do out-of-state adoptions other than states contiguous to Texas (LA, Oklahoma, NM). All transportation MUST be provided by the adopter.
