Luke's Story...
Luke is a sight hound mix and is 4 years old. (We are thinking Irish Wolfhound most likely or greyhound cross). He is tall and thin, as per the breed and is at least 60 lbs. Luke is a very loving and gentle dog. He enjoys to sit or stand quietly and be petted. He is alert and observant. He walks very gently on a leash and moves with that elegant site hound gate. He gets along well with other dogs and is very submissive towards them.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luke, a Glen Allen Irish Wolfhound/Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Irish Wolfhound/Greyhound for sale in Glen Allen, or seeking a Irish Wolfhound/Greyhound dog from a breeder in Glen Allen.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Glen Allen already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Glen Allen breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Irish Wolfhound/Greyhound breeders who help with Irish Wolfhound/Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Glen Allen paves the way for another one to be saved.
