Dalia's Story...
Dalia is a very laid-back, relaxed kind of girl. She has an interesting coat that you can only get from a mixed breed -- she's black all over, with little white hairs sprinkled in, much like Maxwell (also available for adoption). She is a little bigger, about 6-7 lbs, but she is 6-7 lbs of love and kisses. She would be perfect in a relaxed household for someone who's not looking for a bunny who's going to chase their cat back and forth across the house. She would also make a perfect girlfriend for an older male bunny! Dalia was born around January 2007, so she is about 3 years old, but certainly still has a lot of life in her. She was rescued in 2008 from Fort Worth Animal Control.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dalia, a Lewisville New Zealand was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a New Zealand for sale in Lewisville, or seeking a New Zealand from a breeder in Lewisville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lewisville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lewisville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even New Zealand breeders who help with New Zealand rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lewisville paves the way for another one to be saved.
