My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Henry: is a 4 year old, neutered, male rescued from the pound. His ears are natural and his tail is docked. He is about 10 inches tall; a petite fella!
Henry was rescued in the nick of time. Two days after arriving at his foster home he came down with what appeared to be kennel cough. What Henry actually had was the flu and a life threatening case of pneumonia. He dropped to 7.5 pounds and was treated with fluids twice at the vet. Henry is a survivor and he is now on the road to health! His ideal weight is closer to 10 pounds.
Henry is potty trained and sleeps nicely in a crate at night. He wags his tail at the other dogs, but does protect his food at times. Henry enjoys a good bone to chew on and a nice lap to curl on for a nap. He doesn't bark (we don't know if he's not a barker or his throat hurts from coughing...) and before he got ill, he chased the other dogs around attempting to engage them in play time. Henry will also snuggle next to his canine foster siblings for a nap. We are not sure how he is around children, but he doesn't mind sharing my lap with my four month old son and Henry has taken to laying in my son's bouncy seat!
Update 12/21: Henry is feeling much better and has gained some much needed weight! Henry wags his tail and greets his foter parents with enthusiasm. Henry would do best with an adult only home or teenage children as he has snapped at my nephew and neice when they moved too quickly around him. He doesn't try to actualy bite them, but gievs a warning snap. Henry will sit on the chair or on my lap and let my 4 month old son play with his ears without reacting. I think it's fast movements which scare him. Henry has learned to go to the back door to go outside to potty and will bark to be let in.
Note: Henry is located in St. Louis, MO - and we will not fly this boy.
