My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pamela is a Husky/Retriever Mix. She is gray and white. Pamela is 3 Years Old. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. She weighs around 51 lbs.

Pamela has had to overcome many things in her short life, She along with her buddies Linus(Brother at the pound) and Lena(now Patsy) were taken from their home after spending the last MONTH with no food or water guarding their dead owner's body. We are very grateful that they were found and are now safe and warm here at the rescue. She is such a wonderful girl, She's very loving and trusting. She loves to sit next to you on the couch and lean her head against your shoulder, they are both just looking for someone to love them. Pamela has such a great personality, she likes to play and interact with the other dogs that she meets. She loves to sit for treats. So far we know she knows how to sit, but we are working on "paw". She is having alot of fun going around the house and picking up the chew toys that the other dogs have left scattered everywhere, she is learning what "fetch" is and is having a ton of fun playing. She is having alot of fun with my niece and nephew who give her tons of attention.

Pamela would do great in any household. She is looking for a loving family to take care of her. She would do best in a home with another dog, she's lived with dogs all of her life and is very used the company of other canines. She plays excellent with the other dogs here. She walks great on the leash, doesn't pull at all. She really likes to walk around in the backyard in the snow. She sticks her head down and rubs her nose on the snow piles. She likes to be close to you whenever you allow it, she likes to sleep next to you on the couch, she puts her head on your lap. She also ADORES belly rubs, and will roll the whole way over for you. She also gives your hand little kisses, and if you lean down close to her face she sniffs your face just to check you out. She is just looking for a new start in life, and can't wait to have a family all of her own!

Pamela is not aggressive with other dogs, she has been with small, large, young and old dogs. She also does very well with cats.

At the rescue we require dogs to be kept indoors.

There is a $100 Adoption Fee for all dogs. Which includes the Spay/Neuter, Parvo/Distemper Combo Shot, Rabies Shot, Worming, Heartworm Tested Negative if over 6 months and Flea/Tick Prevention.
