Teddy's Story...
Teddy may be a huge boy, but he's got a heart the size to match his big frame. When he gets his forever home and regular nutritious meals and exercise, he should top 105 lbs. Teddy is a plush coated German Shepherd, with long, soft hair. He is about 3-1/2 years old, and is in great shape.

Teddy was found in an animal shelter, staring through the cage, watching all the people walk by. His large size intimidated most potential adopters, but our rescue volunteer was not daunted. His huge heart reached out to her and he knew his charms had finally done the job.

Teddy is currently in a foster home, where he's bonded very quickly with his foster mom. He also gets to hang out three other German Shepherds. He's been very friendly to all the dogs and people he has met, whether large, small, old or young. He does like to chase small animals, so no cats or small dogs, please.

Teddy is in a foster home while he waits for his forever home. To arrange to meet him, please contact k_dekker@earthlink.net and visit our web site to complete the online application to expedite the adoption process.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Teddy, a Burbank German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Burbank, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Burbank.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Burbank already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Burbank breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Burbank paves the way for another one to be saved.
