Sophia's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Sophia's Story...
Sophia is a very happy and cuddly kitty! She is about 6 years old and is UTD on all of her vaccinations, micro chipped, and spayed. She is a large kitty in a sense that she is long and tall, but she's not overweight! She would really prefer to be the only pet because she LOVES getting all the attention! Currently she is living with another 2 year old female kitty, but they argue sometimes.

Sophia LOVES catnip more than anything, and adores feather toys, being pet, and getting treats. Her favorite spots to sleep are on a pillow or blanket on the couch or right next to her "people" on the bed. She likes to talk, and has a very loud purr!

For more information on Sophia, or if you would like to schedule a visit, please contact her foster mom, Casey, at 619-888-4243.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophia, a Poway American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Poway, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Poway.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Poway already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Poway breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Poway paves the way for another one to be saved.
