Ozzy - NJ's Story...

Hi! My name is Ozzy! I’m a 4 year old small standard brindle dachshund looking for my forever home. I weigh 24.5 lbs, but my foster Mom says I could stand to lose a pound or two. I love to walk, and my foster Mom says I do really well on a leash. I will go outside in the fenced yard and go potty as long as one my foster parents is with me, but really prefer to walk on leash. I can't go up stairs, so if you have stairs in your home you will need to carry me up and down them. I’m good with all of the other dachshunds in my foster home, even though I’m bigger than most of them. I seem to be housebroken (whatever that means), and am overall a very sweet and laid back kind of guy.

Ozzy is up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $225, and he is in a foster home in Sicklerville, NJ. For more information about him, please contact his foster Mom at jeire@comcast.net or 609-868-0875.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ozzy - NJ, a Jacobus Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Jacobus, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Jacobus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacobus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacobus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacobus paves the way for another one to be saved.
